New ACT® Ecolabel Certifications

Congratulations to Waters and METTLER TOLEDO on their new My Green Lab ACT Ecolabels!

Waters Xevo™ MRT Mass Spectrometer

The benchtop Waters Xevo MRT Mass Spectrometer, incorporating multi-reflecting time-of-flight technology, has received the My Green Lab ACT Ecolabel, accompanying its Instrument Business Outlook's 2024 Gold Award for analytical instrument industrial design. Taking into consideration the manufacturing facility, energy use, and packaging content, the innovative instrumentation has earned the lowest Environmental Impact Factor (EIF) among similar high-resolution MS systems currently available on the ACT Ecolabel database.

METTLER TOLEDO MT Moisture Analyzers

METTLER TOLEDO Moisture Analyzers are now ACT Ecolabel certified, with verified data on manufacturing, energy use, product lifetime and packaging content. With features such as FSC certified cardboard, a power consumption of approximately 0.3 kWh/day and the use of renewable energy to produce the instruments, they contribute to advancing more sustainable laboratory operations in alignment with My Green Lab’s mission to build a global culture of sustainability in science to transform the research community into a global leader on environmental sustainability.

Important: Certification 1.0 Programs End November 15

Earlier this year, My Green Lab launched My Green Lab Certification 2.0 and ACT Ecolabel 2.0. These enhanced platforms reflect evolving best practices, increase independent third-party verification, provide ROI tracking and organizational dashboards, improve usability, estimate impact, and enable global scalability.

As part of our commitment to provide the most trusted and impactful certification available, the My Green Lab Certification 1.0 and ACT Ecolabel 1.0 programs will sunset on November 15, 2025. 1.0 customers were notified via email last week, but if you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.

What this means for you:

Current 1.0 certifications remain valid until expiration.
All new certifications/recertifications will be issued under 2.0.
